Mars-The Other Earth?

This started as a demo on using a gradient and the smudge tool to make a background, a few months back in Raven's.......after finding Rover's shot of Mars before it landed I put the two together......the statement it makes is purely my own interputation of what we could look forward to in the future!

kenmo says:

Congrats on picture of the week... I love what you've done... Is it mostly vector art?

Posted 11 months ago

Chey says:

Thank you Ken.....although I've seen "vector" I've never achieved it.....this was done by appling a gradient to my workspace, usually with the dark side down and using the smudge tool at various size and hardness and opacity and rotation, just start pulling up from the various layers of color....in your spare time try it.....you will suprised what you get....buildings landscapes mountains....or just design! Loves C

Love it! There's this "retro '40s" style to the cityscape beautifully blended with a more modern Mars-scape. Really great craftsmanship on this one!
